The project comprises the complete fit-out of a 10,000 sq ft ground floor retail unit including some significant structural works and the installation of a mezzanine floor, staircases and 3 lifts.
Bronzed, glazed shop-fronts were installed together with new serve-over counters, preparation areas and all associated floor and wall finishes and display fixtures and fittings. At mezzanine level new cold stores and preparation areas were installed along with a restaurant, offices, Toilets and welfare facilities.
Due to the nature of the shell structure, the entire steel framed mezzanine and polished concrete floor had to be suspended from the existing steel structure.
Due to the busy Central London location there was no facility for road closures or any site storage – all material had to be coordinated and delivered on the day of use through one door while any waste from the previous day went through the other.
