Waitrose – Salisbury

The project involved of the refurbishment of Waitrose Salisbury food and home store.

The store is Waitrose largest stand-alone store, it is also one of its busiest. The project involved a phased remodel of the current layout along with a week shutdown to complete remerchandising.

The store was cut in half during construction to limit the programme duration, the home department was first completed following in one large area. Following this the food side was then completed in nine smaller sections.

The scope involved new finishes to all departments, refurbishment of existing petrol filing station, new online shopping warehouse, new larger café and various external modifications. The key challenge on this project was the new specifications being used for the first time at Salisbury. These finishes would then go on to become Waitrose standard on all new projects going forward.
