Waitrose, Aylesbury Depot

This project was for the full refurbishment of industrial refrigeration systems at the Aylesford depot. Works comprised the replacement of the existing ammonia plant serving the existing chilled warehouse and FRV warehouse. The scope included the provision of temporary chiller units to maintain the operations during the course of the works, removal of existing plant and supply and installation of replacement plant / equipment / pipework. The existing plant room was re-used.

Associated M&E works were also undertaken together with extensive builders-work requirement including:

  • Evaporators gantries to chilled warehouse
  • Valve platforms at high level to chilled warehouse
  • Modifications to existing link bridge supporting pipework etc.
  • Evaporators platforms / modifications to existing hangers to the FRV warehouse
  • All works were carried out within the live environment of a busy operating depot.
