RG-Group-White-Rose-View-Leeds

White Rose View contains 976 bedrooms across two towers (17 and 27 storeys) with a joining bridge at level 1 which links the occupants communal space (which include a cinema, karaoke room, games area, study spaces and communal cooking / dining facilities). The ground floor of the 17 storey building also has commercial space and the basement car park has been re-established for use by the neighbouring office building.

The project scope involved the demolition of two existing buildings and ground floor slab which were located over an existing basement car park. The foundations for the towers were then cast as shallow rafts due to ground conditions. Two structural core construction techniques were then used, the 27 storey utilised a slip form method. The 17 storey was formed using a jump system. RC insitu slabs were formed around the cores and the elevation treatment consisted of off site manufactured SFS / CEM board panels, infilled with curtain walling. The façade finish was a solid aluminium rainscreen and protective grilles spanning the opening casement windows within the façade. The Internal fit out was undertaken in line with the clients turnkey specification to provide 976 fully fitted, ready for occupation en-suite bedrooms consisting of 4 to 7 bed cluster flats including communal kitchen and single occupancy studios.

The project achieved the Considerate Constructions Ultra Site accreditation and a BREEAM rating of Excellent.
