RG Group were appointed as main contractor to undertake the construction of a new 240m2 Starbucks shell with a drive-thru restaurant and associated external works.
The works consisted of piled foundations with the construction of a steel framed panelised shell. The panelised items were installed via crane lift in a single day alongside roof plant being lifted into location. The roof decking was constructed to facilitate a green roof in accordance with Starbucks new design concept. Shell construction was inclusive of services installations, power supply, mains water and telecommunications as well as curtain walling and joinery work.
Externally the works incorporated the construction of a drive-thru lane and carpark area. The new layout involved drainage installations, kerbing, slabbing, paving, installation of external lighting and signage. Tarmacadam surface finishes were applied with whitelining and landscaping to tie the scheme into the surroundings.
