The scope for this project, negotiated with Standard Life, was for the demolition and re facading of a number of units on Ladymead Retail Park in Guildford. All works we to be undertaken whilst the park and shops traded.
The works comprised the removal of existing elevation finishes including mansard roofs, canopies, shopfronts and stall risers with extending of the DPM and floorslab to new shopfront locations. New feature frames, brise soleil, tenant signage zones and a canopy above pedestrian walkway were then fitted. New shopfronts, cladding were installed and the existing roof extended to abut the new façade.
Modifications to the front hardstandings and road markings including new kerbing and revised bollard positions completed the scheme.
All works were undertaken in a live enviroment behind hoardings and customer crash deck tunnels were erected to allow continuous trading and internal security hoardings
