Works at the Primark Bracknell store were to carry out the full 36,000sq ft fit out and refurbishment to the latest Primark standard.
The 14 week programme of works included the 2 storey sales floor, cash office and back of house installations, fit out and decorating. The installations were inclusive of sales floor screeding and associated finishings, ceilings, shop front installations, external and internal signage, lighting works, balustrading, cash and wrap desk installations, 2no escalators, 2no customer lifts, 2 no goods lifts and external works as well as mechanical, electrical and sprinkler installations throughout.
We undertook a coordinated mobile crane lift from the site compound with traffic management in place and close liaison with the neighbouring businesses and construction teams. All roof plant was lifted on a single day to eliminate disruption to the neighbouring businesses.
The works were carried out in a single phase during store downtime, with two sectional completions to permit early client access. The cash office and back of house area were handed over 3 weeks prior to practical completion and the front of house areas handed over 2 weeks prior to practical completion. All works were completed on time and within budget to the satisfaction of the client.
