Construction of a new 700m2 NHS Medical Heath Centre in Chelmsford Essex. The Centre was part of a larger contract and was part constructed an existing Sainsbury’s store, with rest of area extended outside of the store foot print.
The building works comprised the installation of a new mezzanine floor in the existing structure with an extension cantilevered out to one side and a new 2 storey glazed entrance area with lifts. The main area had new feature 6m x 6m structural roof light which was cut in to the existing roof to create a well lit reception and circulation area
The centre fit out consisted of 6 consultant / treatment rooms, patient waiting area and toilets together with all meeting rooms, IT hub, administration and staff areas. All rooms were fitted out to strict design standards in line with the local PCT requirements.
