The existing Morrison store in Manchester Piccadilly Gardens was totally refurbished and rebranded into their Market Kitchen format. This was Morrisons second store to open in this format.
The format offers separate “food-to-go” kitchens for the sale of stir-fries, pizzas, burgers, smoothies and sandwiches / wraps as well as providing a grocery offer including a bakery and salad bar.
The project scope was to strip out the existing unit including a new void area in the basement and fully refit the unit.
The works included new basement drainage, forming new structural openings in the existing slab and external walls, the installation of all M, E and R, new flooring, counter bulkheads, food preparation areas with servery counters, new back of house areas / coldstores and new shop fittings including refrigerated cabinets.
