RG Group were appointed the design and build project for the construction of a new workshop and car decks including alterations to the existing dealership building.
The redevelopment of the Mercedes Benz dealership initially required the partial demolition of the workshop area and standalone valeting building. This allowed the site to then have new pilled foundations formed along with alterations to the drainage including the installation of a new attenuation tank.
The next stage of the project was to erect a new steel frame to the rear of the retained front section of the dealership, followed by the new envelope structure and glazing to both the new and existing dealership structures.
Above the new building extension three new levels of car parking / vehicle storage have been designed with new access ramps to the side and rear of the development. The car parking levels will also included a new valeting zone and a new car handover area.
The scheme is targeting BREEAM “Excellent”.
