This warehouse/distribution unit is part of phased mixed use development scheme at Salt Box Business Park – Bognor Regis.
The groundworks activities included the reuse of the existing materials by utilising extensive cut and fill material movements over the whole of the site, also inclusive of 3 large underground attenuation storage units, a bulk underground water storage culvert and 3 outfalls.
The main structures comprised of ground improvement, concrete bases and strip foundations, inclusive of concrete encased horizontal lateral tie bars. Brickwork underbuilding and steel frame structure with roof and wall composite cladding panels, curtain walling glazing to the envelopes. A mixture of dock levellers and scissors lifts to the goods in. There was extensive car parking with Warburtons having multiple articulated vehicle parking within the boundary of their site. Included where necessary, security fencing has been installed and access to the secure areas is via electronic gates.
The project has been finished to a very high standard, with complementary hard and soft landscaping, sympathetic scheme lighting and signage package.
