John Lewis, High Wycombe Car Park

This project was the for the design and construction of an extension to the existing car park at the John Lewis store in High Wycombe on of the busiest department stores in the John Lewis portfolio.

The project required the construction of a further area of surface car parking with an additional single deck car park above a portion of this. The proposed new car park accommodated a net additional 208 parking spaces in total on the site, 152 of these spaces at surface level and the remaining 62 on the deck level car park.

The area of the size was scrub-land and was being utilised by locals as a BMX track. Works required the clearance and grading of the site and the erection of a steel frame with composite deck together with all ancillary works and connection to the existing store car parks including way find and parking management. Minor lighting and landscaping completed the works. All works were coordinated with the store management and customer disruption minimised.
