The project was to carry out the refurbishment of IKEA’s 1,835m2 Flagship UK Service Office.
The works comprised the stripping out back to the bare shell and complete fitting-out to general office space including toilets, reception with new kitchen areas. The works included the installation of new ventilation and air conditioning installations, and there were also minor works to the shell and external areas.
These works formed part of a larger project entailing the formation of additional office space within the adjacent store which enabled the temporary decanting of staff from the Service Office whilst refurbishment works were carried out. The works in total were completed within the required 20 week programme period, and within budget.
