RG Group were appointed the Design and Build works for the redevelopment of the existing retail park in Bristol.
The works comprised of the demolition of 2no 9,300m2 retail units together with the construction of a 4,200m2 Asda Supermarket shell and an additional 4no retail shells totalling 2,250m2 including first floor leisure area and management suite.
Improvements were carried out to the front elevations of the northern terrace units including a new canopy structure.
The works were carried out with a carefully phased and coordinated approach, whilst the retail units to the northern terrace continued to trade with minimum disruption and retained parking availability.
The external works elements consisted of a new carpark construction with incoming services and a new service yard. Landscaping works completed the scope and tied the new retail area into the surrounding park. Phased traffic management was provided to ensure the minimisation of disruption and smooth functioning of the live retail park throughout.
