New build ASDA Supermarket with a sales area of 15,000sq ft including associated section 278, section 38 and external works.
Built on land purchased from UK Coal the Civil works involved re-profiling the ground to remove foundations and cellars to old Colliery buildings.
Section 278 works included a new major junction to Scrooby Road which is the only route through Harworth town centre therefore keeping it operational to meet Nottingham County Council requirements.
The programme was 17 weeks from start on site to practical completion. Planning permission was subject to achieving a BREEAM rating of ‘very good’, therefore sustainability initiatives such as heat reclaim and a landscaping scheme in line with a strict ecology report was implemented.
