The Leeds Symons House Topping Out ceremony took place on Tuesday 23rd April. The event was well attended with representatives from LSSH including Darren Simmons, Stephen Inglis, Derek McDonald, Alistair Hewitt and Douglas Carswell. Also in attendance, along with RG Group, were Cunniff, Roscoe, Brentwood, CSA, Faithful and Gould, Clancy, RBS and Leeds City Council to name a few.
The attendees were gathered on the level 22 roof where Darren Simmons of LSSH provided a speech stating he was extremely happy with the progress of the project to date, thanking the RG Group team. He went on to express his appreciation of the hard work that has gone in to getting the building where it is and the welcome addition it is to the Leeds city centre skyline.
Photographs were taken on the roof of many of the key people involved the project, before heading down to the level 08 canteen where RG Group laid on a hog roast and refreshments.
Our current progress on site sees the completion of the crane infill slabs with fit out works started in the impacted rooms. Completed windows are now installed to all areas apart from the hoist affected and crane infill rooms and the G-brick façade is continuing to progress up the building. Internally 1st fix M&E and partitions are up to the top floor, level 21, with 2nd fix board and plastering close behind on levels 19 / 20 and 2nd fix M&E on levels 17 / 18. Finished flooring is going down on level 17 and furniture installed up to level 16, with final decorations following them up the building.
