This year, in June, Chris Kallend will be taking part in the Brighton Half Marathon on behalf of Macmilllan Cancer Support.
This will be his second half marathon in a row, and this time he wants to be raising as much money as possible for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity close to his heart.
Cancer is an awful disease than can not only have life threatening consequences by the sufferer but causes extreme emotional and stress for those that they hold near and dear to them; family and friends alike.
Organisations like Macmillan Cancer Support need us now more than ever – especially given a year we would all wish to forget due to a certain pandemic. Many patients receiving cancer treatment have either been put on hold or cancelled whilst we grapple with COVID-19, so funding is needed to support the demand for ongoing cancer treatment. Moreover, the money raised will be contributed towards research to treat the disease, and hopefully in the future find a cure.
Chris would be grateful if all of you out there would aid him in achieving the £2,500 target prior to the race. Please see link to his Just Giving Page below:
All donations will be welcome no matter how small or big. The training has started and hopefully he can improve on last years’ time – providing there are no knee injuries to grapple with!
