Bristol Harbour Litter Pick

On Tuesday 13th July 2021, the RG Group Campbell House team took to the high seas of Bristol harbour on paddle boards to carry out a litter-pick.

After seeing the floating plastic waste that accumulates in some areas of the harbour, the site team looked to combine the project’s environmental aspirations of reducing single use plastics on site with community and biodiversity benefit in the form of an environmental clean up.

We collected three tubs of floating debris for Bristol’s scenic harbour side area. The project was supported from the Go Green Ltd / RG Group social fund, which is available to RG Group teams to use for similar environmental initiatives.

The Campbell House project is a Considerate Constructors Ultra Site and, in line with the environmental targets of the Scheme, we look to bring benefit to the community through environmental legacy projects.

The RG team were joined by Client’s Agent Hannah Walder of K2 Consultancy; Vijay Kumaran & Vasile Duciuc of concrete frame contractor Stephenson Group and Maggie Bastianelli & Loredana Bilancione of project Architects DMWR Architects Ltd.

Thanks to SUP Bristol for facilitating.
